Search For "talian"

Good news, got an email back from Bill McRea and he wasn’t aware the WordPress developer had used Talian 05 backend for his new Passive Income WordPress Theme. He’d hired someone to create a new theme with the functionality of Talian 05 (which anyone can do if they have the PHP/WordPress skills), not hire someone to create a theme using copyright material from Talian 05.

He’s removed the theme from sale, so happy with the result.

Original Bill McRea Passive Income WordPress Theme Review Article

Looks like Bill McRea (author of Massive Passive Profits Autoblog Plugin that a lot of Talian 05 customers use) has used the backend of version 5 of my Talian SEO AdSense/Clickbank theme verbatim for a WordPress theme at https://passiveincometheme.com/ called Passive Income WordPress Theme.

As I’ve not been able to offer good Talian Theme Support for parts of the Massive Passive Profits Autoblog Plugin setup I’ve started going through the whole autoblog setup process.

Below I’ll guide you through setting up WordPress multisite with the Massive Passive Profits Plugin, running the Talian SEO theme with basic settings.

Going to assume you managed to install WordPress multisite and the Massive Passive Profits plugin and you’ve installed the Talian 05 theme either by FTP or through the built in theme installation page (so working, but not automated). Now you want to automate the setup process of creating sub-domains/sub-sites with Talian 05 as the theme.

If you aren’t at this stage, this won’t help.

There’s two ways to install the WordPress SEO Talian Theme, via the inbuilt WordPress theme installer or via FTP.

Doesn’t matter which way you install Talian 05, the results are the same.

Install Talian SEO Theme Using WordPress Theme Installer

Log into your WordPress Dashboard, click “Appearance” >> “Themes”.

Click the “Install Themes” tab.

Click the “upload” link.

Use the browse button to browse your computer for the Talian zip file talian-adsense-clickbank-seo-05.zip.

If you aren’t sure how to find your Download folder (assuming you saved it there) I suggest copying the talian-adsense-clickbank-seo-05.zip file to your Desktop so it’s easier to find.

Select the “talian-adsense-clickbank-seo-05.zip” file and click “Install now”.

Click the “Activate” link.

Until recently I was providing support for my Talian WordPress SEO theme on the Massive Passive Profits Autoblog WordPress plugin support forum, but the forum appears to have been deleted.

Have hundreds of new Talian SEO theme users who bought the Massive Passive Profits Autoblog Plugin and bought the Talian SEO Theme (recommended WordPress SEO theme for creating autoblogs by the plugin creator Bill McRea).

You can review what this WordPress Autoblog Plugin is all about at the Massive Passive Profits Autoblog Site.

Massive Passive Profits Plugin/Talian SEO WordPress Theme Support

I always keep an offline copy of everything I post to forums etc… so will post the various solutions to Massive Passive Profits/Talian SEO theme problems I’d posted on the forum as comments on this page.

When a site running WordPress loads there’s quite a lot of code in the <head> that some would argue is useless information. The most publicised of these is the WordPress Generator version information which lists that you are using WordPress and the version number.

In the <head> you will find:

<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 3.0.1" />

This code is generated when a theme includes the WordPress hook wp_head() within the <head> section of a template file (usually the header.php template file).

I recently fell into reviewing the new Yoast WordPress SEO plugin: wasn’t my plan to review it, but the Yoast plugin author was condescending towards my SEO abilities and the Talian 05 theme on a WordPress mailing list, being petty I gave it an honest review.

Yoast WordPress SEO Plugin Review

Reviewing the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin inevitably led to reviewing the All In One SEO Pack WordPress plugin as well.

All in One SEO Pack WordPress Plugin Review

I think I’ll review the other popular WordPress SEO plugins as well as it was very interesting to see what they were trying to achieve (got some new ideas for my WordPress SEO Theme Talian 05).

After writing the Yoast WordPress SEO Plugin Review, made sense to review the most popular WordPress SEO plugin, yes the All in One SEO Pack WordPress Plugin.

Like with other so called SEO plugins I don’t use them on live sites, the All in One SEO Plugin was tested on a development server (work PC).

Activated the free All in One SEO Pack (Version 1.6.12.2) to receive the following warning:

The plugin generated 152 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

Didn’t look into what caused this warning.

I installed the Yoast WordPress SEO Plugin on my development server to review it (would never use these so called WordPress SEO plugins on a live site).

First thing I noticed was the description of the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin under the plugins page was: “The first true all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress.” That’s a bit of a sweeping statement, guess I’ll not need any more WordPress plugins that I use for SEO reasons after I’ve reviewed the Yoast SEO Plugin.

I’ll apologise in advance for the length of this review, Yoast WordPress SEO Plugin has a lot of features/options and it’s difficult to review them without explaining the SEO concepts behind the features.

I’ve had requests for better support for AdSense channels in my SEO/AdSense WordPress themes, and since I’ve been working on a new Clickbank/AdSense version of the Talian 04 SEO/AdSense WordPress theme I’m looking to improve as much about the theme as possible before it’s release (already added a few new features) and I’m on to custom ad channels which has always been a disappointing feature of my WordPress AdSense ready themes.

Currently running the new (unreleased) Clickbank/AdSense version of Talian on this site now with only Clickbank ads on and it’s running on World of Warcraft Guides with a mix of Clickbank and AdSense ads.

I’m sure a few of you have already noticed that over the weekend the Google AdSense templates domain has started showing Clickbank ads. The Google AdSense team decided to ban this domain from it’s AdSense program for trademark reasons (they didn’t like the google-adsense part)! Harsh IMHO, but not a heck of a lot I can do about it beyond bitch and moan, which isn’t very productive.

I’ve been trying out Clicksor and Chitika on another site as potential replacements and I’ve not been impressed so far, (revenue does NOT match AdSense) so thought it was time to give Clickbank ads a try which in theory could make a lot more money than AdSense.

Since it takes sooooo looong to convert a WordPress theme to Search Engine Optimized (SEOing a theme in particular takes forever) and AdSense Ready (not too difficult to add AdSense if the options are limited) I decided to convert some new and very popular WordPress Themes lacking AdSense and the sort of search engine optimization only an SEO consultant like myself could add to Free AdSense Ready WordPress Themes (not adding SEO optimization, at least not yet).

IF I find a free AdSense WordPress theme like Arclite is a popular free download, then I might convert it to fully search engine optimized and even better AdSense coding: this version of Arclite with AdSense has a very limited AdSense options page, can only change the Google AdSense pub ID (so you get paid) and the AdSense ad unit colours without editing lots of theme files (better than most AdSense themes options, but not as good as the ones I sell).

This subject is a bit of a SEO joke since Google doesn’t even use these meta tags for ranking purposes, so in some respects optimizing these meta tags is a bit of a waste of time. That being said lots of SEO consultants tout various services to optimize meta tags and so I have to cover it here so at least others know not to waste money on SEO services that indicate they will improve your Google rankings using meta tags!

In the last article in my WordPress SEO Tutorial series I covered WordPress Title Element/Tag Optimization, now I’ll cover the description meta tag and the keywords meta tag with relevance to WordPress.
